Can't make it to an early voting site? Request your absentee ballot now. Deadlines are firm and closer than they look.

Three steps, one deadline-sensitive plan.

1

Step 1: Request Your Ballot

Submit your request online at securemyabsenteeballot.sos.ga.gov or contact your county elections office. Requests must be received no later than 11 days before Election Day, that is Friday, May 8, 2026.

2

Step 2: Complete Your Ballot at Home

Fill out your ballot carefully and sign the outer envelope. An incomplete or unsigned envelope will result in your ballot being rejected. Pen-to-paper signatures only. Electronic or digital signatures are not accepted.

3

Step 3: Return Before the Deadline

Return your ballot by mail, in person to your county elections office, or at an official drop box during advance voting hours. Do not wait until Election Day to return by mail.
